Three Things You Must Do Before Waiting For The Mattress Sales |
|
|
Buying a mattress is harder than it seems. Fancy terms like Innerspring, micro fiber, open-cell technology, and sleep zones can be flashy and appealing, yet confusing. With so many brands and generic options available, the cost of a mattress can be just as varied as the style. Trying to make sense of the mattress madness can be difficult. Remember that the sales reps are often paid by commission. What seems like a mattress sale may really be part of the sales pitch. Customers often walk into the mattress store and look around in amazement at the plethora of products. When the sales associate comes over, all the customer can think about is checking out that mattress that is on sale. The bed that was featured in the ad sounded so luxurious and comfortable, and at such a great price. Consumers know it is important to try out the bed before handing over the cash, so as the person lies down on the mattress, the sales rep asks what brought them in today. Often, the rep will sit down on a similar mattress nearby. The customers seem interested in the one on sale, but still in shock from the wide selection, aren’t completely convinced. Here comes the bait and switch part of the marketing. The customers are now drawn to a mattress that is just a little nicer, and the process continues. Make a trip to the store with no intention to buy. Don’t even bring the checkbook or credit card. Vow not to fall for the no payments financing. Discover what mattress suit’s your needs and lifestyle before purchasing. Once the model and brand are chosen, then it is time to watch the sales for mattresses. Customers who know what they want can get a better deal. Wait until the desired mattress is on sale, or has excellent financing options available. The best method to avoid being pulled into the sales pitch is being informed. Don’t be surprised by the enormous salesroom of bedding and sleep surfaces. Avoid the bait and switch technique. This process lines the pockets of the sales rep and drains the wallet. Confusing terms and words are just that – confusing. Customers are not really getting a deal or bargain if they are overpaying for the item in the first place. Mattress sales can be part of the marketing and sales pitch. Be cautious to buy the right mattress at the best price. |
